Ludovic advises businesses and brands on high-stakes negotiations in hospitality, luxury, and lifestyle, where success depends as much on relationships, judgment, knowledge, and timing as on the terms of the deal.
His clients retain him not only for valuable insights on documents but for his ability to identify or refine opportunities to pursue, partners to trust, and structure deals that will close and last. His work spans crucial hotel contract negotiations, M&A, strategic partnerships in hospitality, luxury and lifestyle, and investor/project sourcing.
His experience has developed over 25 years. After beginning in legal affairs at Hewlett-Packard in 1998, Ludovic spent 14 years at Accor, ending his career there as Head of Legal for Asia. He learned that the best lasting business arrangements are those with well-sized-up partners, fairness involved, and the trust to execute.
In 2014, he established his consultancy to offer clients a combination of technical expertise, strategic insight, leverage, the ability to negotiate across cultures and industries, and an extensive network that opens doors.
From 2011 to 2018, Ludovic co-managed Wine Legends, a fund focused on acquiring French and Italian fine wines as alternative assets. This deepened his understanding of the wine sector and its potential as an asset class. From there, and with the knowledge that wine is an emotional asset, Ludovic organised exclusive dinners that brought together celebrity chefs, top wine producers, luxury brands, media, and influential people.
These weren’t events for their own sake. They were laboratories for understanding how trust forms in a conducive environment, how some decisions get made away from the boardroom, and how shared experience accelerates relationships that formal negotiations alone cannot build.
Negotiation sits at the centre of Ludovic’s practice. His first book, “The Master Key: Unlock Your Influence & Succeed in Negotiation,” and his podcast, “CEO Insights,” reflect years of negotiations and how fruitful deals actually get done.
Ludovic also provides on-demand tailored negotiation training and speaking engagements for executives, equipping them with the tools needed for successful negotiations. He occasionally collaborates with international consulting firms, such as Bartle and BearingPoint, as a specialised expert on hospitality matters.
Drawing inspiration from historical figures who used wine and gastronomy as influential tools, Ludovic has seamlessly integrated culinary experiences into negotiation strategies to serve the interests at stake better. Ludovic is currently writing his second book on wine and gastronomy and has created a video series which showcases his writing journey: A Taste of Influence.
